For this project I was tasked with the digitalisation of an existing paper-based induction programme.
Working with the internal training specialists, the course would act as a tool for new members of staff to guide them through their first year at the organisation.
As defined in the Training Needs Analysis, the course would act as a ‘self serve’ tool that would let learners control there own progress as part of their induction. It would also feature all the online training required as part of their role.
After carrying out a Learning Solutions Agreement (LSA) with the SME, I designed the framework and wireframes for the course layout. The page was built using the addition of a Moodle plugin (OneTopic Format) and an activity plugin (Modal Popup) that would allow for easy navigation, usability and responsiveness.
In addition to this, we also allowed for better reporting abilities by integrating a course tracking tool that would allow people managers to track the completion status of their new starters.
Following the release of the ‘MyFirst Year’ programme, we have received a positive response from colleagues and work is underway to expand the offering to additional roles across the business.

Working alongside the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) team, I was tasked with creating an EDI course for Managers within the business.
As specified in the Training Needs Analysis (TNA), the learning offer would consist of an eLearning module that would train managers in the importance of EDI within the workplace and to help them better understand the benefits of diversity and inclusion.
After carrying out a Learning Solutions Agreement (LSA), I worked closely with the SME to create a storyboard for the module. The SME was also able to advice on the inclusivity of the module to help ensure that the correct terminology and imagery was used throughout the course.
The eLearning was built using Articulate Storyline as this offered a wide array of interactive features. In addition, the content was designed with Managers in mind, and therefore featured links to key policy documents as well as further guidance for management and their teams.
Testing of the course was carried out internally via the Learning Design and EDI teams.
Following release of the EDI Managers course, we have received positive feedback from staff and work is underway to preserve the longevity of the module.

For this project, I was tasked with creating an induction course for new colleagues starting within the business.
As there was a short timeframe for this project, I collaborated with our external learning provider to design and create an interactive eLearning module.
In order to enhance the user experience, I decided to create the module using the Rise authoring tool which offered a responsive UI function, thus allowing colleagues to complete their training via a range of devices including desktop, laptops, tablets and mobile phones.
Once agreed with the SME, I got to work creating the storyboard for the module and worked closely with the external provider to develop eye-catching and interactive features that would both interest and engage learners.
As this module was an introduction to the business it was important that the tone and imagery of the content was inviting for the users and inclusive.
Testing of the course was carried out via voluntary testing groups throughout the business.
After release of the Welcome Induction course, we have received a large number of positive feedback from our users and work is underway to evaluate and improve the module further.

Working alongside the University of Lincoln Student Wellbeing team, I was tasked with creating a safeguarding course for staff and students.
The learning offer for this course consisted of two eLearning courses (one for staff and one for students) as well as the development of an online reporting mechanism.
Once agreed with the project stakeholders, I created a the eLearning courses using Adapt Builder which featured a number of branching case study scenarios.
The aim was to design a course that had familiarity with the learners, therefore I designed illustrations based on the campus environment.
Testing of the course was carried out via the Human Resources and Student Wellbeing departments.
After the release of the courses, it was widely recognised by the University of Lincoln and the Office for Students (OFC). Subsequently, I was invited by OFC to present our project at a roundtable discussion event.

Working with Anchor Hanover’s Asset Investment team, I was tasked with designing and creating an introductory course for new Housing team members.
As specified in the Training Needs Analysis (TNA), the learning offer would consist of an information video, digital toolkit and an annual assessment.
After carrying out a Learning Solutions Agreement (LSA) with the SME, I designed the framework and wireframes for the course layout.
Once agreed with the SME, I developed an informative animated video using Adobe Animate and sourced a voiceover externally. A digital toolkit was also created using PageTiger. The course also featured an annual assessment which was created using Articulate Storyline.
Testing of the course was carried out via the Asset Investment Team and volunteers from within the Organisational Development team.
Following the release of the Housing Induction course, I have received highly positive feedback from the SME’s and the wider Housing team.

Working alongside the in-house Leadership Talent Team, I was tasked with designing and creating a leadership training package via the organisations LMS (Moodle).
As specified in the Training Needs Analysis (TNA), the learning offer would consist of self-service resources that could be accessed at any time. There would also be virtual face-to-face sessions available for learners to book themselves onto.
After carrying out a Learning Solutions Agreement (LSA) with the SME, I designed the framework and wireframes for the course layout.
Once agreed with the SME, I got to work rebranding any document resources (including the creation of interactive PDF’s) and developing the course pages. New digital teaching software was also introduced to the virtual training sessions. This featured an online visual collaboration tool called Miro.
The content was designed to have a warm and friendly tone and a narrative that would encourage learners to move around the site.
Testing of the course was carried out via voluntary testing groups throughout the business.
After release of the Leadership Training programme, it has been widely praised by the organisation and Senior Leadership Team and work continues to expand the offering.
